Nominees for the April, 2010 election

Here is our April ballot. There are a few changes in the rules this month, so please take not of the following:

Vote for up to 25 artists or groups.

You must vote for at least 15.
Ballots with less than 15 names will not be counted.

Any artist or group named on more than 50% of the counted ballots will be inducted to The People's Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame.

The cutoff year for eligibility is 1963. To be eligible, an artist or group had to have released their first single or album no later than '63.

Write-in votes are allowed. You may list up to three artists or groups not included on the ballot, and the vote will count, so long as they meet the 1963 cut-off date. If an ineligible name is included on a write-in ballot, that ballot may be counted as a short ballot. Ballots containing more than three write-in votes will not be counted.

Balloting ends at 12:00 noon PST on Friday, April 16, 2010.

(note: percentages were based on 91.85 ballots as a result of our "write-in adjustment".  143 votes came in for write-in candidates, and since we didn't foresee so many, and how they would skew the results, we eliminated their effect from the totals by deducting 7.15 ballots [equaling 143 votes] in the final formula.  The voting rules will be changed to avoid this problem in future elections)
