(note: percentages were based on 91.85 ballots as a result of our "write-in adjustment".  143 votes came in for write-in candidates, and since we didn't foresee so many, and how they would skew the results, we eliminated their effect from the totals by deducting 7.15 ballots [equaling 143 votes] in the final formula.  The voting rules will be changed to avoid this problem in future elections)

Nominees for our March, 2010 Election

Here is our March ballot.  Vote for up to 20 artists or groups.
Any artist or group named on more than 50% of the counted ballots will be inducted to The People's Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame.

The cutoff year for eligibility is 1962.  To be eligible, an artist or group had to have released their first single or album no later than '62.

Write-in votes are allowed.  You may list any artist or group not included on the ballot, and the vote will count, so long as they meet the 1962 cut-off date.  If an ineligible name is included on a write-in ballot, that ballot may be counted as a "short" (less than twenty) ballot.

Short ballots are discouraged.  Voters are allowed to list less than 20 names on their ballot if they wish, however this is discouraged unless you genuinely feel that less than 20 of the nominees deserve induction at this time.  Currently there is not an enforced minimum size, but anything less than a ten name ballot could be considered suspect.  If you wish to purposely submit a "short" ballot, please indicate that when you vote. The People's Rock Hall moderators reserve the right to not count any ballots we deem to not be legitimate.

Balloting ends at 12:00 noon PST on Wednesday, March 17, 2010.  Post your ballots in the comments section at the bottom of this post.

The Cadillacs, The Chantells, The Dominoes, Clyde McPhatter, The Moonglows, and Lloyd Price.
